Rehabilitation Center “Beit Chesed "- Grace House
The work with drug - alcohol and other substance addicted people - takes time. A person is not
released in an instant. As it is written in the Scriptures about the gifts of the Spirit -
there is the gift of healing the gift of miracles. We believe in the power of God and power of
love of God to heal addictions.
We have seen people who get released right away, thru process of dedication to God.
But there are also many who are going through the healing process first,
and then the recovery process. This takes more time.
This is a ministry requiring a lot of patience and love.
The aim of the ministry is healed and restored hearts ready to give thanks to God and
serve him, instead of serving bondages and addictions. The guys who are in the rehabilitation
program are trusted to serve in the Soup Kitchen, to help people and contribute their time
and life to those who were once like themselves before. This gives a sence of self-worth, when
we provide a meaning of life for those in recovery process.
“And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.”
- Isaiah 58:12 -
We believe that those souls, who are lost in this world of sin, will be restored
by the Lord after they are found. The Lord pours out his grace and love in them.
Through these guys the Lord himself testifies to the world around us of His predominance
above the world and death. Lord has said through the prophet Isaiah:
Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
- Isaiah 58:6-7
As it is written in this passage, we should always do the will of God,
in His calling to serve the oppressed, exhausted, and poor and runabout (homeless).
God wants us to be able to hear not only voice of the ill-treated, but also to
hear the voice of God.
This is what our rehab is all about! To do the will of God. To serve people of Israel.
To give another chance for those who seem to have no hope.
